Get your hands on the limited-edition of the SCCC Red Packet 2020! Illustrated by local artist Lee Xin Li with Augmented Reality (AR) features by local digital company MeshMinds, the Red Packet features our distinctive Chinese Singaporean practices during Chinese New Year, such as exchanging mandarin oranges, tossing of yusheng and enjoying lion dance performances.
Come and join the sharing session to hear first-hand from Xin Li about his inspiration and ideas behind the illustration on SCCC Red Packet. The award-winning illustrator will also share what inspired him to be an illustrator molding his own style of drawings.
Local digital company MeshMinds will share how they incorporated the AR features into the Red Packet, the considerations and challenges. They will also share their insights on some of the latest AR technologies in the market.
Participants will receive one set of SCCC Red Packet 2020!
About the Speakers:
Lee Xin Li, Independent Illustrator
Lee Xin Li is an independent illustrator based in Singapore. The architectural graduate from the National University of Singapore enjoy exploring the stories and layers behind the landscapes he encounters. He is deeply inspired by his experience of growing up in a constantly changing Singapore. His works revolves around the topics of shared memories and the question of identity in a shifting world, exploring various aspects of what shaped our landscapes such as cuisines, architecture and history.
Tristan Lim, Creative Technologist at MeshMinds
Tristan has a strong passion for exploring creative technologies and realising distinctive visual experiences. Seeking to develop new work that blends technology and art in an engaging way, He creates visual assets and assists with the conceptualisation of projects, with a strong focus on their critical and artistic aspects.
