十九世纪中叶至二战期间,数以万计的福建人经由厦门抵达新加坡。本次演讲一方面叙述将厦门和新加坡两个港口紧密联结起来的移民机制和过程;另一方面则通过发掘口述历史中早期移民有关“过番旅程”的回忆,为大家展示不同于一般文学和影视作品中所呈现的移民经历与体验。
本次讲座是“以文化联结移民:消除不满并促进新移民的融入”研究项目的成果发表会,是获得新加坡华族文化中心赞助的项目。
