Join the JASSO Ethno-Jazz Ensemble as it brings you the latest creation from the Jazz Association (Singapore), “Kaleidoscope – An Asian Jazz Odyssey” where Jazz meets Asian ethnic elements.
Featuring pianist and composer Jeremy Monteiro (also JASS Music Director), pianist and composer Chok Kerong (also Associate Music Director) and flutist Rit Xu (Assistant Music Director), the ensemble will be joined by musicians from Drum Feng as well as vocalists Khor Ai Ming and Rudy Djoe, and dancers from Bhaskar’s Arts Academy. Well-known musicians Indra Chen, Jacky Ng, Likie Low, Mohamed Noor and Riduan Zalani also make up this astonishing ensemble.
From long-standing compositions by Jeremy Monteiro such as “Asiana” and a re-imagination of his composition “Shakti Dance” as well as new compositions including Chok Kerong’s “Asian Odyssey” and “Lion’s Roar” by Rit Xu, the ensemble intends to create music that is unique to Singapore and which reflects its diversity and multiculturalism.
Embark on an exhilarating and kaleidoscopic musical experience with the JASSO Ethno-Jazz Ensemble and their guest musicians!
