SINGAPORE, 2 August 2025 – In celebration of SG60 and the 40th anniversary of Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA), the National Day Sing-Along returned bigger than ever with its 19th edition – and for the first time, will be held over two days at the Toa Payoh HDB Hub Mall Square on 2 and 3 August 2025.

Jointly organised by SFCCA and Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC), in collaboration with Nexus, MINDEF, this year’s event carries the theme “Unity · Synergy · Legacy”, to instill national pride and celebrate community spirit. A special two-episode video series, highlighting SFCCA’s efforts in promoting social integration and fostering national identity in Singapore was also screened during the event.

Officiated by Mr David Neo, Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and Senior Minister of State for Education, the sing-along this evening drew XX attendees. Homegrown talents Yokez, Elton Lee, Yohannis Kasmani, and Chng Jing led the crowd in beloved local songs such as The Voices of the Ordinary People《小人物的心声》 and Home 《家》. A highlight of the evening was a special appearance by visually impaired busker Daniel Ng, whose performance was met with enthusiastic applause.

Nanyang Technological University Cultural Activities Club’s acapella group, Harmonix, captivated the audience with an NDP medley featuring crowd favourites like Singapore Town and Count on Me, Singapore. August, the Merlion mascot of the National Day Parade, also joined in the festivities. With support from the NDP Pledge Event Initiative, registered attendees received NDP packs and other themed collaterals.

The festivities will continue to take place on 3 August and will be graced by Ms Elysa Chen, Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant mix of music and cultural performances by clan associations, multi-cultural acapella group EARL the Band, and local singer-songwriter AEONA who will be singing Carry Forth the Fire – a song for Total Defence.

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Singapore Armed Forces and to honour past and present service personnel who contributed towards the defence of our nation and its sovereignty over the last 60 years, attendees can also visit the SAF60 Roving Exhibition Showcase: Defending our Home, Securing our Future, which traces the SAF’s transformation journey from its early days to the present and features a collection of human-interest stories and experiences of past and present servicemen and women. Families and children can also enjoy mini carnival game booths and explore Sojourners to Citizens: The Citizenship Journey, a roving exhibition by Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The event will also feature an onsite screening of the trailer for This is Singapore Series 4, a five-part video series that uncovers lesser-known stories of Singapore’s rich heritage. Following this, the first episode will debut on National Day via SFCCA’s social media platforms.
