Under The BIG Tree

Under the BIG Tree is SCDT’s highly anticipated outdoor dance carnival, set against the iconic big tree at the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Cultural Academy.

This year, we celebrate the friendships and connections forged through dance, embracing friends from diverse ethnicities and nationalities. Alongside dazzling dance showcases by SCDT’s company, performance troupes, and students from its training courses, audiences can immerse themselves in a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity.

Beyond the stage, the carnival features an exciting lineup of fringe activities, including Chinese dance-themed games, DIY props-making, and more. A selection of delightful treats will also be available to complete the festive experience. Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic mats for a unique outdoor dining experience under the stars
