“Moonlit Lovers of the Durian Grove” is an original laughter-filled musical comedy that weaves together frontstage and backstage antics in a play within a play.
It features a group of passionate amateur performers writing and staging a forbidden love story set in durian plantations and featuring feuding families, a mysterious ghost, a magical spirit and an outrageous wedding. Through an endless string of twists and turns, the performers gradually discover their purpose, learn to compromise, and deliver an unexpectedly moving and successful performance on stage.
This performance is co-presented by Hao Hao Studio as part of Cultural Extravaganza 2026. Please visit singaporen.sg/ce for more information.
