The Music of China’s Magnificent Mountains
A Musical Sensory Feast!

Following the success of the previous concert season, eminent conductor Darrell Ang is working with SCO again to take the audience on a scenic tour of China through the magic of his baton. The audience can look forward to the Singapore premiere of Sketches of the Guizhou Ranges by Zhu Jian’er and Potraits of Mount Wuyi Landscape by Liu Bin. In addition, The Capriccio of the Mountain Folk Song by young Chinese composer Wang Dongxu, one of the winning works of the 2011 Singapore International Competition for Chinese Orchestral Composition, will be performed again by SCO Dizi musician Zeng Zhi, who premiered the piece.
