SING浪 2026 Draws Nearly 5800 Fans into a Celebration of Mandarin Pop

SINGAPORE, 1 November 2026 – Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre’s (SCCC) biennial Mandopop concert, SING浪 2026, lit up the Singapore Indoor Stadium last night (31 October), bringing together regional and homegrown music talents for an energetic celebration of Mandarin pop.

Guest-of-Honour Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and Second Minister for Education Mr David Neo joined nearly 5800 audience members for a night of Mandarin pop performances infused with electronic dance beats and contemporary interpretations of traditional Chinese elements.

For the first time, SING浪 2026 featured a 360-degree stage, with performers at the centre of the venue – creating a more immersive concert experience and bringing audiences closer to the music and the action from every angle.

SING浪 2026 featured a dynamic line-up with regional artistes OSN and Ivy Lee, alongside homegrown singer-songwriter Boon Hui Lu, who is the recipient of Young Local Songwriter of The Year at COMPASS Awards 2026. They were joined by an ensemble of Singapore’s music talents including Tosh Zhang, Marcus Lee, Zadon, OUTCASTS, DJ INQUISITIVE, TINC, Jeff Ng and Paige Gan.

Highlights of the concert included the debut of four original song compositions by Jeff, Marcus, Paige and local music producer Danial Elias Teo, and spotlights on achievements of Chinese Singaporeans such as the local guitarist who played and recorded the guitar parts in the background music used in the viral Chongqing motorcycle trend and the Singapore Traditional Wushu Elite Team.

SCCC Chief Executive Officer Alvin Tan said, “We hope that the audience enjoyed SING浪, and are proud of our local singers and songwriters as well as their contributions beyond Singapore. Through concerts like SING浪, we hope to promote local talents to a wider audience, contribute to the local Mandopop scene and showcase the vibrancy of Singapore Chinese culture.”

Incorporating striking visual effects, breathtaking wushu stunts, energetic drumming performances and thrilling parkour feats, the concert showcased a blend of Mandopop with contemporary interpretations and expressions of Chinese cultural elements. The night ended on a high note with a post-concert electronic dance music party as the crowd danced to live beats spun by local DJ INQUISITIVE, who made a special return from his ongoing world tour to perform on home ground.

As part of SCCC’s ongoing efforts to support the local busking community, a special edition of The Buskers Showdown was held before the concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium North Plaza for members of the public and concertgoers to enjoy music acts by local artistes Simon Tu, T Junction, Cloud & Party, Evan Goh and Jurine Chia.

For those who have missed SING浪 2026 or wish to enjoy it again, do catch the telecast on Channel 8, Sunday, 27 December 2026, from 7pm to 8pm, and on mewatch, till 26 March 2027. Mediacorp YES 933 is the Official Radio Station for this concert.
