The Singapore Association of Writers will be holding the 6th Singapore Youth Chinese Literary Awards (Flash Fiction) – Award Ceremony and Literary Forum on January 19, 2025 (Sunday), to present the Gold, Silver, Bronze, Excellence, and Honorable Mention awards of the Flash Fiction Writing Competition to 24 young writers.
In conjunction with the award ceremony, the winners and young writers will have an opportunity to interact with senior writers, engaging in discussions about literary creation and the winning works. Participants will include previous winners, contestants of Youth Literature Award, and young literature enthusiasts.
The Youth Literature Award is an annual youth writing competition organized by the Singapore Association of Writers. The competition aims to promote the creation of Chinese literature among the younger generation, enhance their cultural and aesthetic literacy, and identify young authors with potential in literary creation, thereby passing on the torch of Singapore Chinese literature. The competition is open to Singapore citizens or permanent residents between the ages of 18 and 35.
The award ceremony and the forum will be held in Programme Room 1 on the B1 level of the National Library Building, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
