ArtVenture: From Stage to Behind The Scenes (SG60 Weekend)

Specially curated for SCCC’s SG60 celebrations, ArtVenture: From Stage to Behind The Scenes is an open house event where participants will have the rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and gain insights into the daily activities of SCCC’s arts residents.

More information about SCCC’s arts residents and their activities during the open house can be found below:

• Reverberance is a Chinese wind percussion ensemble led by young local musicians. Participants will get to try different percussion instruments and join the musicians for a short performance at the end of the hands-on session.

• Drum Feng is an energetic local percussion ensemble group that specialises in both traditional Chinese percussion music pieces and cross-genre work. Participants will be able to experience an exhilarating and fun drumming session with the group.

• Tampines Arts Troupe is a local cultural group that is known for its Chinese classical and ethnic dance performances and workshops. Participants will be able to try out Chinese dance props, and learn about fragrances that relate to the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar of 24 solar terms (二十四节气).

• Nam Hwa Opera is one of Singapore’s most prominent and prolific Chinese opera troupes. Participants will get to try on various opera costumes and props, and learn the basic body movements of different opera characters.
