In this 1-hour workshop, students will learn:
To read Chinese and Western drum notation
The fundamental techniques such as wrist motion, finger control, and grip
To develop listening skills to identify and play different rhythms
To decipher and understand how to play in various time signatures and use them to create interesting rhythms
To control the volume of your drumming to create dynamics
To follow the beat and play rhythms together as an ensemble
