The Chinese Opera Roving Exhibition offers visitors an up-close-and-personal experience with Singapore’s traditional street opera. Featuring three antique Chinese chests – known as 多宝盒, each chest will unfold and reveal information about a different aspect of the art form: the rich history of Chinese opera in Singapore, an inside look at how a traditional street opera stage is constructed, and even samples of tactile materials used in stage-building.
