CNY Family FUN 2024

From 26 to 28 January 2024, bring your family to Shenton Way to discover the #SINGAPO人 way of CNY celebrations and ring in the Year of the Dragon with us! Join us at the CNY Family FUN for a weekend of Chinese New Year celebrations, exploration and experiences.

Co-presented by Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre and Singapore Chinese Orchestra, CNY Family FUN brings you on a cultural quest through local Chinese opera, Chinese music, lion dance, markets, live busking sessions, a dragon-themed art installation and more. Free admission unless otherwise stated. Freebies like wall decor and snacks up for grabs! While stocks last.

“Nian” is Coming! (Free admission)

Watch out for hidden performers who will surprise and enthral you with a choreographed and interactive presentation of the folktale of Nian! Come dress in red to help ward off Nian with the help of the others!

Head up to the SCCC Level 7 MPH Foyer for a series of fringe activities and stage performances! Whether it’s face painting, Chinese calligraphy, finger painting and more, there are activities for everyone. Stay on for captivating performances such as martial arts, Chinese ribbon dance and mask-changing performances too! Don’t forget to also come and get your annual dose of the zodiac forecast and get your mind cracking to guess the lantern riddles!

Little Dragon Tamer: A Dragon Dance workshop for Children (FULLY BOOKED)

A hands-on experience for the little ones to transform into accomplished little dragon tamers! Learn the basics of traditional dragon dance and practise rhythmic steps and coordinate movements in this dragon dance workshop.

Say hello to BeLONG and relive your childhood in his playground in the sky! BeLONG welcomes the young and young-at-heart to explore Singapore’s unique Chinese New Year customs in a fun and colourful playground inspired by our local HDB playgrounds.

Commissioned by the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, local artists Fiona Koh and Warren Khong from art and design studio Whisky and Foxtrot LLP return with this year’s BeLONG’s Art Playground, a rooftop art installation that invites the public to explore a Chinese New Year playground in the Year of the Dragon.
