This talk shall introduce the origins and cultural significance of embedded name couplets — a unique art form blending poetry, language, and calligraphy. The speaker, Mr Teoh Ai Keong will showcase famous historical examples, explain key formats, and share insights into his own creative process and works. Speaker
Teoh Ai Keong graduated with Bachelor of Arts, Chinese Language and Literature, National Taiwan Normal University (1998). He graduated with Master of Arts, Chinese Studies at the National University of Singapore (2001). He has since been a prolific calligrapher and seal engraver both locally in Singapore, and internationally. He is a member of Siaw-Tao Seal-Carving, and a teacher at the Ministry of Education, Singapore.
