Singaporean iconic comedians Wang Sha (1925 – 1998) and Ye Feng (1932 – 1995) have equated to Singapore popular culture. Adored and celebrated by audiences across Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan, this dynamic duo enjoyed a versatile and illustrious career, leaving an indelible mark in music, theatre, television and over 40 feature films. By tracing their glorious lives and careers, this lecture pays tribute to them for their enduring influence on the cultural scene of Singapore popular culture.

Production Researcher
Singapore Chinese Culture Centre
Su Zhangkai, Production Researcher (project-based) at the Singapore Chinese Culture Centre. He was also involved in research projects with overseas institutions, including the Hong Kong Film Archive. He is the author of several publications about local entertainment history, including a publication on the famous comedians Wang Sha and Ye Feng.
