“Sheng, Dan, Jing, Chou”, “Chou”, aka the Jester, is an essential character class in Chinese opera, one that is considered “the cherry on top”. Every twinkle, every move, bright costumes, and exaggerated acting, all make the audience laugh. “Chou” brings a witty, comical, humorous dramatic effect to the opera. In the appreciation of Chinese opera, people often paid more attention to “Sheng”, “Dan”, and neglected the parts of a “Chou”. To better inherit the beauty of Chinese opera. Nam Hwa Opera encouraged the training of a group opera enthusiasts of different ages to learn and practice the roles of “Chou”. Now, they are ready to take over the stage and show case the charms of the “Chou” characters!
