The National Chinese Challenge has been jointly organised by SPH Media’s Chinese Media Group and Nanyang Girls’ High School since 2014, and is the largest Chinese language knowledge competition in Singapore. Through engaging quizzes and games, the event aims to spark students’ interest and enthusiasm for learning Chinese, while providing a platform for primary and secondary school students who are passionate about the language to interact and exchange ideas.
The competition consists of two stages: a preliminary round (written test) and a final round (live game-based competition). The content covers a wide range of areas, including language, literature, culture, history, translation, current affairs, and local knowledge.
Serving as the official Content Partner, Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) has provided quiz material sourced from Culturepaedia. SCCC representatives will also join the judging panel for the grand finals, which will be held for both primary and secondary categories on 25 April.
