Roaring Good Times 17

“Roaring Good Times” (RGT) is a homegrown crosstalk brand established in 2008 by YPPAE’s youth artistes, including Liu Zhibin, Huang Weijie, Lan Yunzhou, Huang Liying, Lin Jinxuan, under the tutelage of renowned Chinese crosstalk artiste Mr. Geng Diansheng. It aims to develop crosstalk performances with a distinct Singaporean flavour. Adhering to the mantra that art mimics life but transcends the quotidian, our RGT series takes our audience on a journey – reflecting on our everyday living through artistry and humour.

So far, “Roaring Good Times” has cultivated nearly forty individuals who have the ability to perform Xiang Sheng, accumulating approximately 37,000 theater audience members, and is a proud local crosstalk brand! “

“Roaring Good Times 17” will continue its mission of researching and developing local crosstalk, and in­vite young crosstalk performers from overseas to perform together with local young crosstalk performers in Singapore, improving the performance level of the actors and also promoting local crosstalk to the international stage!
