The members of the Siaw-Tao Chinese Seal Carving, Calligraphy, and Painting Society will commemorate Singapore’s 60th anniversary with 60 heartfelt letters. These letters will be expressed through traditional artistic forms such as ink painting, calligraphy, and seal carving, seamlessly blending the elegance of classical letter writing with the creativity of modern postcards—each serving as a personal tribute to the nation.
The exhibition space, thoughtfully designed by Siaw-Tao member Tan Wei Ming, will transform the display panels into a layered arrangement of envelopes. Through this exhibition, we aim to evoke the warmth of handwritten words and inspire visitors to reconnect with the art of letter writing as a meaningful way to express emotions and strengthen personal connections.
