Teochew Youth Leaders Summit

The Teochew Youth Leaders Summit is a public event exploring the history and evolving role of Chinese clan associations and cultural communities in Singapore.

Held as part of SHF 2026, it examines how these institutions have shaped Singapore’s cultural landscape and continue to influence community life. The summit also traces the journeys of early migrants, highlighting how clan associations provided vital social networks and support systems.

Through short sharing segments and a fireside chat, speakers from business, culture, media and the arts will share perspectives on cultural identity, community leadership, and the relevance of heritage today. The discussion will also explore how younger Singaporeans can engage with and sustain cultural traditions.

The programme concludes with an interactive mingling session, offering participants the chance to exchange ideas and connect with others who share an interest in heritage and community.
