Curated by Benjamin Boo, ensemble principal of Reverberance and percussionist of Singapore Chinese Orchestra, ‘Thunderous Heavens’ immerses audience in the soundscape of traditional Chinese percussion music as members of Reverberance alongside percussion ensemble of Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) presents popular repertoires of the past which are now widely considered as classics as well as new compositions written by the curator himself in a bid to explore the incorporation of traditional Chinese drumming in modern music writing.
