YPPAE presents the Singapore premiere of locally produced Kuaiban play, written and performed by local artists.
The deepest memory of the Singapore River in the 1960s would be the pungent smell of the filthy river water. Tok Tik Tok brings us back in time to the squalid and smelly Singapore River where Ah Seng, the protagonist, grew up in. Together with Ah Seng, we witnessed the spectacular transformational change both in the Singapore River and Singapore history through the Kuaiban rhythmic narration.
Tok TikTok – Singapore River Rhapsody, premiere of Singapore’s Kuaiban play, pays tribute to Singapore 60th anniversary.
