With a needle in hand, thread up colourful beads to create Nyonya motifs. Embroidered shoes are a symbolic part of Nyonya attire. Mr Raymond Wong, Fashion and Boutique Director of “Kim Choo Kueh Chang” believes that the beading culture of the Peranakan can also keep up with the pace of time. He will explain and demonstrate this traditional craftmanship, guiding the participants to create a beaded ring or tie clip.
