How do we breathe new life into the stories and inspiration behind public artworks within urban environments? Join us for an original and lively discussion with Yeo Chee Kiong, award-winning contemporary sculptor, and Tristan Lim, creative technologist and representative of The MeshMinds Foundation. Having collaborated on AR.T Trail, Singapore’s first public art walking trail powered by Spark AR by Facebook, with programming supported by Facebook Art Department and the National Arts Council, the two featured speakers will share their experiences with traditional and digital placemaking. What role can emerging technology play in preserving and breathing new life into the stories of cultural heritage hidden in our city?

About the Speaker:

Tristan Lim (Creative Technologist at MeshMinds)

Tristan has a strong passion for exploring creative technologies and realising distinctive visual experiences. Seeking to develop new work that blends technology and art in an engaging way, he creates visual assets and assists with the conceptualisation of projects, with a strong focus on their critical and artistic aspects.

Yeo Chee Kiong (Artist)

Yeo Chee Kiong is an award-winning contemporary sculptor and installation artist who is playful with his forms. His works destabilize any familiar notions of spatial proportions and perspectives. They explore facets of the human condition in the artist’s own construction of an extended surreal world.
