When one talks about the Golden Age of traditional Chinese Painting, the Song Dynasty, famed for excellence in arts and culture, would always come to mind.
The “Dream of Song” exhibition will showcase approximately 200 curated art-pieces created by the classically trained artist Song Meng in Singapore over the past decade. These works include a 9.1-meter-long, 1.38-meter-high illustrated silken scroll, more than 100 pieces of Zhong Tang (中堂) and approximately 50 pieces of table screens, folding and palace fans, hand scrolls and other artworks done in the various comparatively smaller forms, effortlessly combining the artistic style permeated with the richness of a thousand-year-old history and the elements of the present era.
