Mark Chan’s Email and Eternity

Email and Eternity is a beautifully melodic, swirlingly harmonic, playfully rhythmic yet hypnotic full-length composition.

It describes two things in parallel:

The pleasures and the also the perils of modern air travel.

Our need to roam, to visit other places, to escape our lives here and be there!

But specifically in the time of pandemic.

And so, this travelogue is also a spiritual journey that highlights then pulls away the veil of our modern rush, unmasking a deeper understanding of what makes us as people tick: 

Longing for escape, good health, comfort and safety, finding danger and uncertainty.

Dealing with our fears we search for safe harbour, refuge in a shifting world.

And we encounter both beauty and beast along the way.
