Nam Hwa Blazes: The Charming Tunes

The art of Teochew Opera represents the beauty of Teochew culture in the most traditional and relatable way.

On Sunday, August the 29th, at 3pm, let’s all come to Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre with our families, friends, and catch the live performance of ” Nam Hwa Blazes: The Charming Tunes”, presented by Nam Hwa Opera. It’s time to relax and enjoy the classic Teochew Opera pieces together. Funny and light-hearted piece “Xie Qi Appoints A Matchmaker” tells a story of how Xie Qi gets the best matchmaker to help him search for a wife. “The Register Of Patriots” brings you through the fights for justice and peace. And “The Pursuit” shows the greatness of love from a mother and the spirit of self-sacrifice to make a clear distinction between right and wrong.
