The Betrothal Sword of Love tells the stirring story of Mei Anxiang, a general’s daughter betrothed in youth to Wei Chaoren. Though loyal to their promise, Chaoren later betrays her for power, seeking to marry a princess. Disguised as a man, Anxiang bravely leads troops into battle, while Chaoren resorts to false accusations to protect his reputation. Ultimately, Anxiang vindicates herself through military triumph and moral strength, while the disgraced Chaoren, exposed and defeated, is forced to end his life in shame. The tale honours loyalty, courage, and justice in the face of betrayal.
