新加坡，2016年1月9日–活力华彩——新加坡华族文化光影展”，是新加坡华族文化中心呈献的首个别开生面的大型展览。
展览以人文观察角度，通过文学风味的感性叙事，探讨与呈现新加坡华族文化的生命活力，构思与处理手法，都是本地一项新的尝试。
这是本地首个以新加坡华族文化为主题的多元媒体大展，由新加坡华族文化中心主办，新加坡报业控股华文媒体集团、新加坡华乐团有限公司和人民协会协办。集合本地近300间机构、会馆、文化艺术团体和个人提供的资料，以大堂展场与室内影视两种不同形式，配合生动的表现手法、互动的展场装置、特别的视觉投影，全面呈现新加坡华族文化的构成与风貌。
两种形式的四大展区，将分别展现新加坡华族文化独特的三层生命结构，日常生活文化交流融合的色彩与精神，各种艺术文化活泼多元的传承与创新，及正在兴建中的新加坡华族文化中心大楼的各种设施。
特别设计的内容与视觉体验，分别呈现新加坡艺术文化和生活文化的活力与精彩，让公众在轻松有趣的互动中加深他们对于本地华族文化的认识和了解，也突显本地华族文化独特、现代、活力、创新、与时并进的面貌。
在展览期间，展场也将举行一连串特别设计的“文化周末”活动，包括年轻人拍摄的微电影系列，专题讲座，新的音乐创作，融合多元文化的专业舞蹈，结合古典与现代美感的精致戏曲等。
“活力华彩”——新加坡华族文化光影展也将成为“本土文化之旅：重温过去，畅想未来”的一部分。这是新加坡华族文化中心首次与人民协会合作，把新加坡丰富多彩的华族文化介绍给本地的新移民。本土文化之旅带新移民参观“活力华彩”文化展和“共同未来”展，并品尝新加坡特色美食。通过这个活动，新移民将对新加坡独特的华族文化，包括饮食文化有更深的了解，一窥新加坡未来的发展趋势，培养他们的国家自豪感，与我们携手共创新加坡的美好未来。本土文化之旅预计会吸引约两千名新移民报名参加。
“活力华彩—新加坡华族文化光影展”开幕礼订于2016年1月9日晚6时30分在新加坡大会堂举行。新加坡文化、社区及青年部政务次长马炎庆先生将为文化展主持开幕。文化展将在新加坡大会堂展至1月31日。

3. What makes it special?
3.1. The very first exhibition in Singapore centring on the Singapore Chinese culture

4. Its significant meanings
4.1. “Over the decades, the Chinese community in Singapore has developed its unique set of social mores and milieu, and built a good rapport with the minority communities. The Chinese here are therefore different from the Chinese in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.”

4.2. Singapore Chinese culture possesses a unique cultural vitality. While there have been a large number of discrete research in specific topics, this exhibition is the first attempt to focus on cultural vitality from the aspects of history, life and art, and comprehensively present the outcome of the multi-perspective analyses in a manner that is both concise and stimulating.

The vibrant energy of Singapore Chinese culture comes from its ability to inherit, integrate and innovate.
6. The objectives
6.1. Our target audience includes youths, new immigrants, students, general public, other ethnic groups and overseas visitors
6.2. A contemporary, dynamic cultural exhibition where culture comes alive Our objectives are
– To create an engaging visual experience through specially curated content from a fresh perspective and as a result, challenge visitors’ perception of Singapore Chinese culture; and
– To enhance the understanding and interest of the general public, including youths and new immigrants, in our unique local Chinese culture through novel and lively presentations.

8.1. The composition of Singapore Chinese culture
Comprising Chinese Culture, Immigrant Culture and National Culture Highlights: the specially created “diagram of the universe (太极图)”, interactive “directory of family names” to locate your family roots, large-scale “family tree”, specially produced “wall of Chinese clan associations”, and special audio experience, etc.
