PÁNPán, a dance performance by T.H.E Dance Company and commissioned by SCCC, was invited for the 2021’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

667 – SCCC’s short film anthology 667 was screened at Expo2020 Dubai’s Singapore Pavilion in February this year.

Age of Revelation – SCCC-commissioned film, Age of Revelation, was featured in “Wandering Memories : Liao Jiekai film showcase vol 1” in Japan.

Night Walker was a fascinating blend of Chinese ruan music, Indian classical bharathanatyam dance and modern electronic soundscape.


Love Deserter, an award-winning Malay-Mandarin song at SG:SW 2021: I Write the Songs, attracted more than 2.5 million views on Douyin within 3 weeks of its release.


CROSS-DISCIPLINARY


Age of Revelation explored man’s fraught relationship with nature and technology through music, film and dance.


Songs of the Dragon Kiln documented the tale of Singapore’s last surviving dragon kiln with pottery and Chinese chamber music.


FORGING STRONGER PARTNERSHIP


Deepened ties with existing partners such as SPH Media Trust’s Chinese Media Group, key visual arts societies and educational institutions like National University of Singapore and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.


Engaged new partners such as Science Centre Singapore, Ding Yi Music Company and Paper Monkey Theatre.

Festive Fever is SCCC’s one-stop Chinese New Year online guide for all-things Chinese New Year.


Intermission, our first podcast series, offers a humorous dose of insights into our Chinese Singaporean culture and identity.


SINGAPO 人 Online is an interactive virtual experience and resource for students, teachers and parents.


EXTENDING BEYOND OUR PREMISES


Secret Ingredients was our first dedicated travelling exhibition. It showcased the origins of our beloved hawker dishes.


Several of our popular exhibitions held at SCCC such as Afterwords, Moo Moo PARK and Mythology were later transformed into travelling exhibitions.

SCCC visited Republic Polytechnic and invited its students and staff to experience the AR effects created for the Moo Moo Park exhibition artworks.
